The RS63 Air is the most affordable way into ATK's Hall-effect range. It runs the same Gen-3 Blazing Wind ULTRA magnetic switch platform as the aluminium flagships, so the response and rapid-trigger behaviour are the real thing rather than a cut-down version. What you give up compared with the RS6 Ultra is the aluminium case, not the performance.

Its defining feature is the integrated CNC aluminium wrist rest with an RGB light bar, which no other model in the range includes. Combined with the 63-key layout it makes for a very small footprint that still keeps dedicated arrow keys.

What Hall Effect Actually Gives You

A magnetic switch reads how far the key has travelled, not just whether it has bottomed out. Two things follow. Rapid Trigger resets the key the instant you start lifting, so counter-strafing and repeated taps register faster than on any mechanical board. And actuation depth is adjustable per key, so you can set a hair trigger on movement keys and something deeper on keys you do not want to fire by accident.

The benefit is real in fast FPS play. For typing and general use, a good mechanical board is just as pleasant — Hall effect is a competitive tool, not a universal upgrade.
